Established in 2015, The Wolfhound was built to be the kind of place every neighborhood deserves—unpretentious, welcoming, and always alive with good people. What started as a simple idea has grown into a true Oakland stalwart, a spot where regulars are known by name and new faces are treated like they’ve been coming in for years.

At the heart of the room sits a back bar with its own journey—crafted in 1930s Chicago, routed through Las Vegas, and finally landing here in Oakland. It’s seen a lot, and now it watches over one of the best pool rooms in the city, where games run late and stories get better as the night goes on.

We keep it easy: BYO food, and no attitude. Grab something next door from Krispy Joe’s Coffee House, bring it in, and settle in. Trivia fires up every Wednesday, the bartenders are as solid as they come, and there’s always a game on the table.
